Mrs. Elizabeth Pointer Arthur died at her home four miles west of Perkins, March 9, 1939, aged 67 years.

Elizabeth Pointer was born in Pulaski county, Ky., Jan. 12, 1872. The daughter of Ruben and Elizabeth Pointer.

She was married to James Arthur in Pulaski county, Ky., June 2, 1890. After living in Kentucky for some time the family moved to Reading, Ohio, living there until coming to Payne county in September, 1928. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors are the husband, James, two sons, Fred, Reading, Ohio; Oather, Reading. Two daughters, Mrs. Effie Goforth of Trafalgar, Ind.; Cloda Arthur, at home. Nineteen grandchildren and one brother, Sam Pointer, Montana. Three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Ellen Bradley of Broadhead, Ky.; Mrs. Sophie Waller of Macon, Mo.; Mrs. Amanda Arthur of Conrad, Ky.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, March 11, 1939, at 1 p.m. with Rev. A.A. Brady officiating.

Interment was at Tryon cemetery under the direction of Strode funeral home.
