She was born on December 12, 1922 at Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to the late, Wallace and Nettie (Davis) Bittle. She married Arthur Roland on November 10, 1943 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Opal moved to Southwest City in 1982 coming from Wichita, Kansas.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on February 14, 1992; four brothers, Harold Bittle, Glenn "Buck" Bittle, Bill Bittle, Jack Bittle and a sister, Mildred (Mickey) Long.
She is survived by a host of family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Opal.
Graveside funeral service for Opal Roland will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Polson Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri.
