Theresa Boisen, 69, passed away at home on May 6, 2009 from cancer.
Theresa was born in Miami, Arizona to Armando and Isabelle Orona, and raised in Oakland, CA. She resided in Cupertino, CA before moving to Reno in 1998. Theresa was a retired pediatric nurse from Kaiser Santa Clara. She had a large number of friends and was known for her sense of humor, passion for national politics, and her gardening skills.
Her loving husband of 27 years, Donald, preceded her in death in 1992, and her parents in 2003 She is survived by her children, Nancy (Bill) Hammers of Reno; Matt (Shelly) Boisen of Frederick, CO; her siblings, Armando Orona of Morro Bay, Dory (Don) Bothwell of Livermore, and Evelyn Orona of Granite Falls, WA. She has five grandchildren.
Services will be at St. Albert's Catholic Church in Reno on Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. The family thanks Dr. Bowman and Vista Care Hospice for Mom's care.
