Gerald married Gloria Juillerat and had 3 children: "Jay" Gerald Ray 2nd, Gina, and Mark before they eventually divorced. He later remarried to "LuLu" Loula Mae Griffith. He and LuLu lived for a while on the Amish farm of Elam Graber where he went by the nickname of Doc and was known for his pizza. He drove a tractor for them as well. He was a salesman for employment at other times in his life. At the time of his death, he was cremated and his ashes were given to Lulu. In a conversation in 2012 with LuLu, she told me that his ashes were dumped out her bedroom window onto the ground, outside of her apartment, in New Haven, that she cultivated the ground, grew winter onions in that location and used them in her cooking.
