William J. Embar, 62, 1601 Rita Lane, died Saturday afternoon in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He had been in poor health for three years. He was well known as the former owner and operator of the George Washington Tavern. He currently owned and operated the Mello-Dee Music Co. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Lincoln Republican Club, the Lebanon Country Club, the Elks, the Quentin Riding Club, the American Legion Home Association, the Goodwill Fire Co., Myerstown, the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Edith Mariani Embar; a daughter, Anita, of New Hope, PA; a brother, Anthony Jenetti, Lebanon, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Alonzo, Kennett Square, and Mrs. Marie Lanzino, Steelton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
