He was born Februay 11, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa to Reva & Kenneth Gepfert. Bob graduated from Franklyn High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in June 1945.
Bob served his country in the U.S. Army in Nuremberg, Germany. While in training at Fort Sill he met a beautiful girl that caught his eye, Jean Williams, and it was love at first sight. As soon as Bob returned from Germany and was discharged from the Army they married, December 23 1946, in Lawton, OK.
They lived in Cedar Rapids from 1947 until 1961 when they moved to Oklahoma. Bob and Jean were blessed with three daughters and three sons. They have fourteen Grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Bob retired from Rockwell International in Bethany, OK. He then worked as a contract engineer on military projects for another ten years. He then drove a school bus for the Mid-Del school district for eight years. He attended St. Mark Lutheran Church in Midwest City and later Metro Church in Edmond, OK.
