Muriel Jean Wickhart, 81, of Davenport, died Monday, May 25, at St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. Born March 15, 1906, at Stronghurst, Illinois, she was the daughter of John R. and Maude L. Bice Shaw. She married Jacob "Jake" Knopp in 1925. He died in 1934. She later married Raymond F. Wickhart in 1937. He died in 1947 (sic: 1974).

She had worked at the Des Moines County Court House. She moved to Davenport in 1944. Surviving are a son, Jack Knopp, Monticello; two sisters, Mildred Shaw and Ann Davis; and one grandson.

Services for Mrs. Wickhart will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Runge Funeral Home, Davenport.

Graveside committal services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, with Reverend Dale Hempen of the Zion United Church officiating.
