"Mrs. Wenzel M. Stangel, 73, nee Catherine Prausa, of Tisch Mills, died at the Holy Family hospital this morning of pneumonia. She had been ill only a short time.

"She was born in 1872 in Lincoln (Township) of Kewaunee county, WI; the daughter of the late Wenzel & Margaret Prausa. She attended Kewaunee county schools and in 1890 she was married to Wenzel Stangel in Norman, Kewaunee county.

"The couple settled on a farm in Tisch Mills which they operated all their lives. She was a member of the Christian Mothers' Society of St. Mary's Catholic church of Tisch Mills.

"Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frances Stangel of Milwaukee, Sister M. Wenzela of Holy Family hospital, Mrs. Mary Skwor of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Dorothy Lakey of Sauk City; three sons, Benjamin on the homestead farm, Louis of Manitowoc, and Richard of Tisch Mills; one brother, Charles of Algoma; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Wochas of Casco, and Mrs. Emma Abbring and Rose Prausa both of Chicago."
