LAKELAND - Harry E. Holland, 85, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to heart failure.

Born in Lakeland on January 25, 1925, he was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Holland and his mother Effie Kirkland Holland.

During his youth, Harry helped his father with the family business, Holland's Moving & Storage Company. He was very active in sports throughout his life. He played baseball in the North Lakeland Challengers Division. He participated in Sunshine Bowling League and won various awards and trophies. He was a member of the Pathfinders Group at Calvary Baptist Church in Lakeland.

Harry attended Alliance for Independence ADT where he had many close friends.

Harry loved aviation and collecting airplane models. He was an avid Lawrence Welk fan. Harry was a very loving, gentle man with a great sense of humor.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, at 10:30AM, Lakeland Memorial Gardens. ~ On the day Harry passed away, God welcomed a sweet angel who loves to fly.
