MOWEAQUA - Esther Irene Hammil, 91, of Moweaqua died 5:30 p.m. Saturday (March 27, 1999) in her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials: First Baptist Church, Moweaqua.
Mrs. Hammil was born in Shelby County on Jan. 21, 1908, the daughter of William Thomas and Laura Ellen Busick Jesse. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Royal Neighbors of America. She married Lloyd Robert Hammil on Dec. 31, 1935, in Moweaqua. He preceded her in death May 31, 1998.
Surviving are her brothers, Carl "Curly" Jesse of Moweaqua; Robert and wife Rachel of Moweaqua; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.
