Former Anamosan Dies in California
Mitchell Glick died at Alhambra, Calif., December 22, 1938 at the age of 93 years, three months and 10 days. For the last six years he had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Marie Clough, who was killed in an auto accident November 7, 1938.
He was born September 12, 1845, in Tippecanoe county, Indiana, to John and Hannah Glick.
When a lad of eleven years he came with his father and mother and three brothers to Iowa and settled southeast of Olin. All have preceded him in death except one brother, Joseph, of Bramer, Mo.
On September 20, 1868, he was married to Sarah Garrison who died May 25, 1893. To this union was born nine children of which four have died.
Left to mourn his passing are Ethan of Lost Nation; Miles of Olin; Roy of Anamosa; William of Anthon, Iowa, and Clarence of Sedalia, Mo.
Funeral services were held on December 27, 1938, at Alhambra, Calif., in charge of Rev. Roy L. Laurins.
