Minnie was born March 24, 1916, in Pulaski, daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Wojciechowski) Schesta. On April 21, 1934, she marreid Vilas E. Hoffman in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1978. Minnie was such a giving and caring person. While they struggled through the depression, Minie still wanted to give or help out in any way. She kept her sense of humor and wisdom till the end. Minnie put the Lord first and trusted Him completely. She enjoyed sending letters, cards, etc. and taking pictures. She enjoyed going to the Salvation Army and their bible study.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Ellen and Bob Peters, Marna Wagner, Audrey Skattebo, Candice and Al Krueger, Pauline and Bill Blashka; her sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and JoAnn, Jerome "Bud" and Rita, Marty and Mary, and Bruce Hoffman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one sister: dear friends Mars Petkevicius, Sharen Splitt, and Bonnie and Jack Weston. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Tom and Brian; one daughter, Tory Hastings; two granddaughters: Cathy Peters and Anna Maslona; five brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Firday, April 8, 2011, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Minnie's granddaughters' husband, Thomas Gagne. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Minnie's name to the Salvation Army, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers.
