Mrs. A.C. (Amanda Louise McCants Winters) was the daughter of Robert Pembroke McCants and Caroline Allen McCants. She was married to Charles W. Winters on 6 Oct 1857 in Chambers, Alabama. Children include George, Asa, R. C., Vickie, C. W.

Mrs. Amanda McCants Winter died at a local sanitarium early yesterday afternoon. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Horsey, of Atlanta; two sons, Mr. George A. Winter, of Durant, Okla., and Mr. Charles W. Winter, of Miami, Fla.; granddaughter Mrs. Willis Westmoreland, Jr., of Birmingham, Ala., and a nephew, Mr. George B. Saunders, of Atlanta. The funeral will be from the chapel of Barclay & Brandon this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Senter will officiate. Interment in Oakland cemetery. The following gentlemen will kindly serve as pallbearers and meet at the chapel at 2:45 p.m.: Messrs. R. A. Hemphill, George Fortson, Fred Frotson, R. A. Reese, Dr. L. A. White and Mr. Barber.
