Dr. Theodore Teitgen, Manitowoc county coroner, attributed death to internal injuries. (private) car was impounded and an inquest is being planned.

Auto Kills Boy, 13, Walking Along Road Robert Baugniet Struck North of Two Rivers Dragged 300 Feet Under Automobile Before It Stopped
TWO RIVERS—Robert Eugene, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Baugniet of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, became Manitowoc County's second traffic fatality of 1955 at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday. He was struck from the rear and instantly killed by a car which (private), was driving on Highway 147, a mile northwest of here. Coroner Theodore Teitgen said an inquest would be held.
County traffic police reported that (private) was driving 50 to 55 miles an hour in a 45 mile zone when he passed two cars and struck Robert who was walking on the left edge of the highway with his brother (private).
The cars and the pedestrians were all going southeast towards Two Rivers. Robert was walking in the proper traffic lane for pedestrians, facing oncoming traffic, police reported. He was on the edge of the concrete and (private) was walking on the graveled shoulder.
The coroner said the boy was dragged 300 feet under the car before it stopped. He died instantly of a compound skull fracture, broken neck, arms and legs. The left front fender, hood and windshield of the car were damaged.
Had Returned Glasses
The brothers had been to a neighbor's home to return a pair of glasses left by the neighbor's child. Hlinak, a ___ at Mishicot High School, was reportedly on his way to Two Rivers to attend the Hamilton Band practice.
Traffic records show that (private) was sent to traffic school last November after pleading guilty to a speeding charge. In January, he reported that his car went out of control on an icy county road and overturned. That accident
occurred at 1:45 a.m.
