Longdale – Gale Wayne Adams, 18, was killed Saturday in a truck accident northwest of Watonga.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday in the United Methodist Church at Canton with the Rev. Mack Asher officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Municipal Cemetery at Buffalo under the direction of Haigler Funeral Home, Canton.
Adams was born December 12, 1963, at Shattuck. He lived in the Buffalo area until age 9 at which time he moved to Portland, Oregon, where he lived until age 12. He then moved back to the Longdale – Canton area and attended schools there. He was a senior at the Canton high school this year and was an active member of the Canton Vo-Ag Department.
Survivors include his father and step – mother, E. J. and Joan Adams, Longdale; his mother, Mary Kyser, Portland, Oregon; one brother, Mark Adams, Canton; two step – brothers, James Patrick Adams and Dean Carson, both of Longdale; one half – brother, Jimmy Kyser, Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Cynthia Adams and Julie Adams, both of Portland, Oregon; four half – sisters, Kathie Foster and Melody Haigler, both of Canton, Linda Kyser and Betsy Kyser, both of Portland, Oregon; grandparents, Lillie Adams, Woodward, James E. Adams and Mrs. G. W. Holly, both of Longdale, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ernst, Portland, Oregon.
A scholarship fund has been established at the Canton high school as a memorial for Adams.
