MARGIE LEE MADISON
September 5, 1907-June 23, 2002

Margie Lee Madison, a long time resident of the Gig Harbor Tacoma area, passed on peacefully in her sleep early in the morning, Sunday, June 23rd. Margie was born to Jeremiah and Grace Blake in Santa Rosa, CA September 5, 1907. As a teenager she moved to Clarkston, WA. She took active roles in the First Presbyterian Church, the Fellowship of the Moose Lodge, the Gerontology Council, garden club, and activities at Tahoma Vista Village.

Throughout her life she was a nurturing woman who spent her life caring for others. Margie retired from the nursing profession and moved to Gig Harbor/Tacoma where she could live near her grand children. She had a natural gift for being the best grandma ever. She prepared beautiful food, baked warm cookies for after school, told funny stories, and always took time to listen.

Margie is preceded in death by husbands, Henry Madison, Arthur Anderson, and Clarence Madison; daughter, Barbara Madison Hoovel (Clifford); brother, Wm. "Bill" Blake, sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Goyen (Howard); and nephew, Raymond Goyen.

Most important to Margie was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her and she to them.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Lubken (Bill), grandchildren Tera , Andrea, and Brad Lubken of University Place, WA; granddaughter, Cindy Hoovel and great grandsons, Sage Kendall and Remington Kendall of Parma, Idaho; granddaughter Wendy Hoovel (Rick) and great granddaughters Devan and Alixe Satterly of Boise, Idaho, and niece, Marjorie Nelson of Central Point, Oregon.

A celebration of her life will be held 3:00p.m., Friday, June 28 ,2002 at Tahoma Vista Village, 1512 S. Mildred. Gramma Margie will be greatly missed by us all. We love you, Gramma!
