Timothy “Mitch” Telinde, 18, of McAlester, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, in an automobile accident.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bishop Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hartshorne High School Auditorium with the Rev. Alice McPherson officiating, assisted by the Rev. David Proffer. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Nov. 25, 1987, in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., he was the son of Tim and Candace Telinde. He lived in Hartshorne and Garden City, Kan., most of his life. He worked at building docks locally and Skeeters Body Shop in Garden City, Kan.
He played baseball, football and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed all water sports, especially water skiing. He was an all around athlete.
Survivors include his mother and fiancee’, Candace Pillard and Matt McGowan, of McAlester; his father and mother, Tim and Donna Telinde, Garden City, Kan.; his father, Tom Bruton Jr., of McAlester.
Also, two brothers, Tommy Bruton, of McAlester, and William McGowan, of McAlester; three sisters, Madison Telinde, Garden City, Kan., Mackenzie Telinde, Garden City, Kan., and Madeline McGowan, of McAlester.
And, his maternal grandparents, Harriet Pillard, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Larry and Debbie Pillard, Albia, Iowa; his paternal grandparents, Harvey and Joan Telinde, Glenwood Springs, Colo., Liz Vogel, Virginia Beach, Va., and Carolyn Bruton, of Hartshorne.
And, his maternal great-grandmother, Rubie Pillard, Coggon, Iowa; his paternal great-grandparents, Neva and Leonis Chuc, Glenwood Springs, Colo., and Dan and Ann Vogel, Whitestown, Ind.; his aunts and uncles, Nicole and Sheldon Rockey, Center, Colo., Tara Telinde, Glenwood Springs, Colo., Brittany Pillard, Albia, Iowa, and Matt and Mary Ann Telinde, Norfolk, Va., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Spears, Brandon Lawrence, Jordan Hazelet, Justin Dobbs, Jarred Weeden, Ray Couch, Dustin Thurman, Travis Woods, Cody Rosso and Blake Cheney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Graham, Jared Faulkner, Willie Carter, Nick Irish, Cody Maynard, Cory Parker and the Hartshorne class of 2006.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, George Pillard, and his maternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Harrison Rundle.
