TROGDON -- Barbara Lee Melton, was born March 5, 1933 in Springfield, MO, to Frank Wade Melton and Geraldine Haynes Melton. She married Donald Trogdon on October 18, 1950, in Las Vegas, NV. Don and Barbara moved to Broken Arrow in 1962. Together they built a loving home for their sons and grandchildren. Being a housewife was a special job that Barbara Lee made look easy. She opened her home and her heart to all that she met. Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who gave herself unconditionally to her family. She set standards for everyone. Her faith and devotion to the Lord has sent her Home on Wednesday, January 11, 2006. She enjoyed shopping and watching her grandchildren play sports. She is survived by: her husband, Don; mother-in-law, Reva Trogdon Cantrell; children, Mike and Jaquita Trogdon, Claremore, OK, Rick and Barbara Trogdon, Purcell, OK, Steve and Susie Trogdon, Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Chris Trogdon, Claremore, OK, Chad Trogdon, Oklahoma City, OK, Brandi and Quinn Kroth, Purcell, OK, Lance Trogdon, Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandchildren, Amanda Doublehead, Ketchum, OK, Baylee and Kody Kroth, Purcell, OK; brother, Bob Melton, Broken Arrow, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to Coweta Baptist Church, 28149 E. 131st St., Coweta, OK 74429. The family will greet friends Friday, January 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Hayhurst Funeral Home. Service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, January 14, at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel.
