Obituary.
William Weaver was born November, 22, 1848, in Madison county, Indiana, and with his parents moved to northeast Kansas in 1859, later settling in this community. He married Miss Mary Dennis of Cowley county, November 1872. From this union 11 children were born all of whom are still living, the youngest being now 10 years old. Mrs. Weaver died Christmas day 1898. He died February 19, 1907, at Blackwell, caused from a stroke of paralysis. In his youth he united with the Church of Christ and continued a consistent and faithful Christian. The body was shipped here as stated in last week's Advocate and the funeral took place at Highland school house Thursday, conducted by Rev. James Masters. The remains were buried in Highland cemetery.
All the single children have rented a farm near Blackwell and will remain together.
