1LT de Moors honorably served his country during the War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom where he received the Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by a son, Infant Gabriel Roger de Moors. Survivors include in addition to his mother and step-father, his wife, two sons and a daughter, six sisters and one brother. Died near Tal Afar, Iraq, on January 7, 2006 when his UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed.
He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado.
