Mr. Perry William Atwood, 48, of 719 Westwood Drive in Eden passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009 at his residence. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Boone-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Atwood was born in Leaksville (now Eden) on October 16, 1960, a son of Gilmer Carlson and Mildred Thornton Atwood. He worked as a photographer. He loved children and animals and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Juni Atwood Roberts of Axton, Virginia; his father, G.C. Atwood of Eden; his brother, Keith Atwood of Oram, Utah; and his three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Thornton Atwood.
