Mrs. ELSIE MAY LEHMAN, widow of John S. Lehman, died at her home, 327 North Cannon avenue, last night, aged 66. She had been ill for the past ten weeks. Mrs. Lehman was born in Ganoe Town, Berkeley County, W.Va., the daughter of Ephiram and Martha (DeHaven) Kettering. She had been a resident of Hagerstown for the last 45 years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical United Brethren Church, serving in the Women's Society World Service of the Church, and was a member of the Survivor's Class as well as teaching in the Primary Department for 35 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Thelma Lucas, and son, John K., both of Hagerstown; three grandchildren and three brothers, Dorsey W. Kettering, Sanford, Florida, Charles W., Geneva, Florida, and Ephiram B., Martinsburg.
Funeral services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
