Elder A. (Toodles) Wetenkamo, 65, of 111 Washington St., Valders, died Saturday afternoon at home. He had been ill two months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Robert A. Onkka officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Wetenkamp was born June 29, 1898, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Albert and Theresa Meyer Wetenkamp. A veteran of World War I, he served with the U.S. Army. He married Ellen Teteak at Waukegan, Ill., July 9, 1923.

Mr. Wetenkamp had been a member 15 years of Manitowoc Fire Dept., leaving the department in 1936. He had been employed during World War II as a guard amd had been an undersheriff in Manitowoc County for many years, serving under former sheriffs Norman Berkedal and Clarence Baryenbruch. He had also been an unsuccessful candidate for sheriff in 1940 and 1952. He had operated taverns at Menchalsville and Valders and currently he and Mrs. Wetenkamp were proprietors of Toodles and Ellen's Bar at Valders.

Mr. Wetenkamp was a member of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706, United Commercial Travelers and Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Voigt, of Manitowoc and four brothers, Reuben of Milwaukee and Herbert, Harry and Lester, of Manitowoc. A brother, Albert, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home where Eagles memorial services will be conducted at 7 oçlock this Tuesday evening. Military rites at graveside will be by Drews-Bleser Post.
