He was born February 11, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Frank and Verne Adams.
He was a founding member of North Street Church of Christ and attended Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Melba D. Adams; one daughter, Kay Adams Weiderhaft and her husband Terry of Rogers, Arkansas; three sons, David L. Adams and his wife Holly of Frederick, Colorado; Gil A. Adams and his wife Judi of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Marty Adams and his wife Pam of Iowa City, Iowa; two sisters, Mary Curry and Verne Kinsey both of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday May 26, 2014 at Moore's Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
