Andrew Padiasek, 89, of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26th, 2015.

The funeral service and visitation will be held on May 2nd at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Two Rivers. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 9:45 AM, with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 AM, officiated by Father Thomas Reynebeau. Burial will take place immediately following mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers.

Andrew was born October 5th, 1925 in Wola Obszanska, Poland. At the age of 15, Andrew was forcefully separated from his family as a result of the Nazi Occupation of WWII. After surviving the war, he worked in Germany for the Polish-American army as a military guard. He remained in Germany, working in construction in Ludwigsburg, where he met his wife, Leokadia, and later Stuttgart. In 1957 Andrew moved his family to Two Rivers, where he found employment with Eggers Industries and remained with them until his retirement in 1989. Andrew lived close to Lake Michigan and particularly enjoyed walking to and fishing from his favorite pier on the east side.

He is survived by his daughter, Irene Richmond of Two Rivers, daughter, Ann and her husband, David Parizek, both of Two Rivers and his son, John, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie of Muskego. Andrew is also survived by his grandchildren, Robin Richmond of Menomonee Falls and Tanya Richmond of Peshtigo, and a sister-in-law, Regina Czernichowski of Two Rivers. He is also survived by a brother, Anthony Padiasek and a sister, Aniela, and brother-in-law, Bolic Syta, all of Poland, as well as many nieces and nephews throughout the US and Europe.

Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Leokadia, his father, Jan, mother, Anna, a brother, Josef, and sister Stefania, as well as a brother-in-law, Peter Czernichowski.

Family of Andrew Padiasek wishes to thank Terry, Caroline and Dawn of Aurora VNA, the caring staff at Wisteria Haus, and the thoughtful neighborhood friends, all of whose kindness and compassion will forever be appreciated.
