Cabell Ray Francis ,53 of route 1 Gladys, died Monday afternoon June 10, 1985 in Lynchburg General hospital after being struck by a Norfolk and Southern train while laying on the tracks about a mile south of Glayds a week ago.
Born in Halifax County April 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Cabell Robert Francis and Lou Annie Bomar Francis. He was a member of the Childrey Baptist Church and the Woodman of the World and was a retired farmer.
Mr. Francis is survived by two brothers ,Buddy Pete Francis,of Nathalie;and Eugene Thomas Francis of Altavista;one sister Mrs.Nina Dare Francis Wynn of Reidsville,N.C.
Graveside services will be conducted at Childrey Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Cliff Reynolds.
