Otto J. Blaha, 66, of 1820 29th St., widely known retired resort operator over a long period of years, died of a heart condition at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital at 10 a.m. Saturday, where he had been a patient for several weeks. He had been in failing health for more than a year.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. John K. Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Blaha was born in the Town of Two Creeks Oct. 20, 1892, son of the late Ignaz and Christina Boretsky Blaha. He attended the district school at Two Creeks and studied for two years at a Menominee, Mich. agricultural school under the late Prof. J.F. Wojta, also a native of Two Creeks. Thirty-nine year ago he acquired a large tract on Big Lake, Manitowoc, Wis., where he developed a resort known as Muskie Lodge. The resort was frequented over the years by those identified in the sports field, particularly archery. His annual guest over a period of years was W.C. (Roundy) Coughlin, prominent Madison sports writer.

Mr. Blaha was one of the first archers in Wisconsin to hunt deer with a bow and arrow. He was instrumental in developing archery also in the Two Rivers area. He retired from his resort business nearly two years ago, selling his interests.

Surviving are his wife, the former Emily Abbet, whom he married at Sheboygan Nov. 28, 1917, a daughter, Mrs. Carl Domenoski of Two Rivers; a son, Otto Jr., of Stoughton, Wis.; two brothers, Julius of Mercer, Wis., and Sup. Victor Blaha of the Town of Two Creeks; a sister, Mrs. Emily Sager of Kewaunee, and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Monday evening.
