She married DeLoyd Schimmles on October 10, 1936 in Naponee, Nebraska. In 1938 they moved to Parma, Idaho. They had 3 sons, Kenneth Eugene, Lawrence DeLoyd and Kirby Francis. In 1975 they moved to Caldwell and lived there the remainder of their lives.
DeLoyd passed away in 1987. Eleanor passed away in 2001 and is buried next to DeLoyd in the Canyon Hill Cemetery.
