Linda was the youngest of three daughters born to Ray and Lucille (Sears) Collingham. She was diagnosed with childhood onset diabetes early in her life, and one of the first generation of children who were saved by insulin injections. She attended York Schools, graduating from York High School in 1967. Linda worked for several years at a local car dealership and it was there that she met the love of her life, Wilbert Weldon. Linda and Wilbert were joined in marriage In October 1973. Linda loved her family, and was so happy when she married Wilbert. Her daughter, Michelle, was born shortly thereafter, and for Linda, this was the pinnacle of her life, being a mother. She loved Wilbert's kids too. Their home and family were the most important things in the world for her. Linda's diabetes eventually took most of her eyesight, but she never complained and learned to make do with what she had. Linda always had a smile, even though life wasn't always fair to her. Linda was a lifelong friend, and a person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She truly had the joy of life in her heart, and cherished each and every person in her life. Linda's daughter Michelle, sister Nancy, stepdaughter Doris and stepson Ron as well as their children and grandchildren keep her memory now. Her beloved husband Wilbert died in 2013.
