Retired Cafe Owner Dies
Oliver Ellsworth Airey, 4636 Penn St, Philadelphia, died at 3 am yesterday in the Frankford Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born in this city where he spent most of his life, he was a son of the late Elmer and Mary James Airey, and was a member of the Episcopal Faith.
A retired tavern keeper, he formerly conducted bud's Taproom at 76 S. Wyoming St., while a resident of this city.
Surviving are his wife, the fomer Stella Baker, and the following step children: John Paul Baker, West Hazleton; Co. Frederick E. Baker, retired Air Force officer of Terell, Tex, Col Thomas Baker, retired from the U.S. Army, Wheaton, Md, Mrs. Benjamin Terry, Philadelphia; and Mrs. Joseph Wolf, of Ashland, NJ.
The funeral will be held from the Grebey, Beltz and Gleim Funeral Home, at 2 pm Thursday. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
