George Arthur Dabill 81, of Danville went to be with the Lord he so dearly loved on Oct. 9, 1998, at 12:45 p.m. at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus.

George was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Pine River, Minn, the son of True LaRett and Hedwig Emma Warner Dabill. He was married to Cora L. Lewis on July 2, 1941, in Staples, Minn. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Peter (Carol) Dabill of Woodville, Texas, three daughters, Harriet (Bill) Hymer of Danville, Hannah (Mike) Galvin, of Atlanta, Ga and Sarah (Dan) Snider, of Danville, seven grandchildren, Aundrea, William and Matthew Dabill and Amanda, Lee (Abi), Anna and George Schlunaker; four stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Dixon, Jrennifer Ellis, Jeff Galvin and Katen Tompson; one sister, Mary Jones; three brothers, Gaylord, Don and John Dabill.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

George was a farmer, trapper, hunter, horseman and sawyer for 28 years in Pine River, Minn. The family moved to Danville in 1970 where George served the Lord at Grace and Truth, Inc. until his retirement.

George was a member of Hillery Bible Chapel. As a God fearing man, his primary goals were being a devoted husband and parent and showing people the way of salvation through belief in Jesus Christ.

Services 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Barrick and Son Funeral Home, Curtis Darling and Timothy Hadley officiating. Interment Allhands Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Grace and Truth, Inc. 210 Chestnut St. Danville 61832. Fund for Christian Service, Inc. 67 Annin Road, West Caldwell, N.J. or the charity of the donor's choice.
