Sharon went Home to be with her Lord Jesus this week after an 8 year battle with ovarian cancer. ‍But PRAISE THE LORD, the battle is already won and death is overcome. "For whosoever believeth" in the Lord Jesus, "should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

She was born in Hanau, Germany, and was adopted by her loving parents, Maj Oscar Dee and Peggy Graham Parker. ‍Sharon grew up in San Antonio, attended Edison H.S., graduated from Baylor University and worked many years at USAA

Her parents and step-daughter, Bekah are waiting to greet her in Heaven. She will be missed terribly by her loving husband, son, step-son and wife, brother, sister and husband and nieces, who know they will see her smiling face again.

A Memorial Service honoring her wonderful life was held on Saturday, May 31st at Castle Hills First Baptist Church.

The family wishes to thank ‍Sharon‍'‍s many friends and the staff of Odyssey Hospice who took such loving care of her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to: Mission To The World, PO Box 2589, Suwanee, GA 30024. Please reference account #EV6037. This fund will help to fund her son's mission trip to Southeast Asia.

On the morning of May 19, my beautiful mother, best friend, and hero went to be with God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. My mother had a remarkable heart and soul, one that was dedicated to loving and serving the needs of others rather than herself. Even through her battle with ovarian cancer for eight years, she continued to be a saint as she always prayed first for the well-being of family and friends due to her resilient faith that never wavered. Her life was dedicated to glorifying God's name and sharing the Gospel, and I pray that I can live out her legacy likewise.

Although my mother does not reside with us on this earth anymore, may we rejoice in knowing that death leads us to complete sanctification with Jesus! Raise our joys and triumphs high, for Christ has risen and has conquered death! Alleluia! May His Word bring comfort and peace.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 – "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 – "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words."

I love you mom, and I cannot wait till we reunite at the Father's side with all the other saints.
