Anna L Buckhalter, wife of the late Rev. Fred Buckhalter, died Thursday morning in the Quakertown Manor home. She had been a guest of the home about two months and had formerly resided on Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township since 1959.
Mrs. Buckhalter had also lived in Massachusetts and had been a life time resident of Philadelphia.
She had attended Girls High School in Philadelphia and was a graduate of the former Philadelphia School of the Bible, now Philadelphia College of the Bible, in 1921.
She and her late husband, who died in 1959, had served about 25 years in several pastorates in the Philadelphia area, including the Fifth United Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. She was active in the children's department and both she and her husband played instruments and were active in speaking engagements. In 1955, they went to Fall River United Presbyterian Church in Massachusetts. Mrs. Buckhalter had moved to the North Penn area following the death of her husband in 1959.
She had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Towmencin.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Reinhard and Anna Deuschle Danzeisen.
Surviving are a brother, Frank B. Danzeisen, three nieces and two nephews.
Arrangements are being made by Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
