Information has reached here of the death of Mrs. Julia McDonald Davis, wife of Mr. John W. Davis, at their home, in Clarksburg, W. Va., yesterday evening. Mrs. Davis was 27 years of age and was a daughter of Major E. H. McDonald, who resides three miles north of this place. She had been sick about a month and her death was a great shock to her family. Mr. Davis is a prominent young lawyer and son of Col. John J. Davis, of Clarksburg. He was married to Miss McDonald at the home of her father, near this place, about 15 months ago. His bride was an intelligent young lady and quite a favorite among her circle of friends. Her death was particularly sad.
