Dolores was born January 26, 1937, in the town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Martin and Clara (Miller) Sleger. She attended St. Mark's Catholic Grade School, graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1954 and then attended beautician school in Milwaukee. On May 4, 1957, she married Gerald Biel at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Dolores was a beautician for many years, worked as a waitress and retired from the Carron Net Co. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with Jerry, playing bingo, camping and time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband: Gerald Biel, Two Rivers; three daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy (Jeff) Lesperance, Two Rivers, Lynne (Arlyn) Steinbach, Kiel and Sue (Roger) Basler, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Joseph (Kim) Biel, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother and two sisters-in-law: Donald (Ruth) Sleger and Joan Michalek all of Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother: Martin Sleger Jr.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Irma Biel and a brother-in-law: Anton Michalek.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
