French General. Together with his brother Louis-Francois he was an early supporter of Napoleon. He joined him on his campaign against Egypt. He participated in the siege of Akko and fought by the pyramids and Abukir. After the siege of Alexandria he returned to France in 1801. In July 1813 he was promoted to the rank of général de brigade. Wounded in the Battle of Wachau (October 16th) he was brought to Leipzig where he died. His name, as well as that of his brother, are inscribed at the Arc de Triomphe.
