Lawrence James "Larry" Reilly, Sr. Resident of Concord "Larry", age 81, entered into rest on July 18, 2009 in Concord. He was born December 2, 1927, in Vandergrift, PA, one of five children of Laurence and Helen Reilly. Larry was a member of St. Agnes Church, the Italian Catholic Federation, Knights of Columbus, Concord SIRS and STARS, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Concord Senior Center where he was a member of the Pedro Club. He had served his country in the United States Navy in both WWII and the Korean Wars, and had worked 20 years for the East Bay Municipal Utilities District, retiring as a water treatment operator. Larry enjoyed traveling and playing golf. He will be missed by his loving children, Larry Reilly Jr. (Michelle), Deborah Russell (Michael, late), Sandie Garcia (Richard), Phillip Reilly (Michelle), and Kevin Reilly; by his beloved sisters Helen Schmiech and Dorothy Klugh; and by seven cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Alyssa, Thomas, Patrick, Kristina, Kaitlyn, and Kendall. Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Theresa Marie Lanzi Reilly in March of 2008 and by two beloved brothers, Bob and Jack Reilly. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with a Vigil at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, July 24, 2009, at St. Agnes Church, 3966 Chestnut Avenue, Concord. Interment will be private.
