Ronald W. Tucker, 73, of Moultrie died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mahan officiating and the Revs. Jimmie McChristial and Jay C. Tucker assisting.

Born Jan. 14, 1934 in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Clara Smith Tucker and Ansel Parrish Tucker. He was retired following 27 years at National Linen Service and 20 years employment as executive vice president and C.O.O. of Riverside Uniform Rentals. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served during the Korean War in the Aleutian Islands at Kodiak, Alaska. He was an ordained deacon, served on numerous committees and as a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church. He was also on the board of directors for the YMCA and Hope House. He was a private pilot and enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Tucker; a grandchild, Katie Clifton; and brothers-in-law, D.H. Alderman and James Alderman.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Naideen Grosfield Tucker of Moultrie; sons, Mitchell Lane Tucker of Apple Valley, Calif. and the Rev. Jay Crawford Tucker and wife Cathy of Bonaire, Ga.; daughters, Lita Tucker Clifton and husband Lee of Moultrie and Jana Tucker Bunton and husband Edwin of Fayetteville, Ga.; a brother, Jim Tucker and wife Gloria of Moultrie; sisters, Faye Graham and husband Paul of Barney, Ga. and Jane Alderman of Moultrie; grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Lee Clifton and wife Christine, Andrew Benjamin Clifton, Alyssa Lane Tucker, Taylor Elaine Bunton, Zachary Garrett Clifton, Rylee Jae Bunton, Mary Catherine Tucker, Drake Thomas Bunton, Ty Sterling Bunton and John Ross Tucker; a brother-in-law, L. Burton Grosfield and wife Pauline of Hiawatha, Kan.; and a special family member, Jenae Tucker of Apple Valley, Calif.
