Albert Walker Linkous, 75, of Clermont, FL passed away Friday, March 25, 2011.

  Albert was born on April 8, 1935 in Splashdam, Virginia, the son of Lewis and Nell Linkous. He was a retired budget officer for the General Services Administration and a resident of Clermont for the past 12 ½ years, previously living in Vinton, VA. Albert was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clermont. He was an avid golfer and also loved woodworking.

Albert is survived by his loving wife, two sons, a sister, and two grandsons.

A Celebration of Albert's life will be held at 10:30 Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Becker Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at 12:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society or the First Tee Organization (www.thefirsttee.org
