Taken directly from "The Moore Family" by Claude Moore:

"WILLIAM WINBORN, the first child of Albert and Ruth Moore, was born at the Buntyn home in Memphis on 4/9/19. Growing up he attended Messick School. While still in high school, he was accompanying his father who was collecting rents from some of his negro tenants when he was caught in the crossfire of some feuding negroes, hit by a stray bullet and was fatally wounded. this occurred 11/2/35 on Spottswood Avenue. The excitement of procuring help for his dying son resulted in impairment of Albert's health causing breathing difficulties the rest of his life."
