Goldie Isabell Ginther of Miami, OK passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at her home. She was 87. She was born November 30, 1926 in Miami, OK to Harry Harold and Daisy Myrtle (Stogsdill)(Sims)Morgan.
She had lived most of her life in Miami until 1961 when she moved to Englewood,CO.,living there until 1978. From 1978 – 1987 she lived in Elizabeth,CO, returning to Miami in 1987. She was a Bookkeeper/Asst. Town Clerk for the town of Elizabeth,CO. Goldie had attended Harvest Time Ministries in Miami, OK and was a member of the Prisoners of War chapter in Miami where she served as Chaplain, bookkeeper and treasurer.
Goldie married Merle Edward Ginther December 29,1956. She had 3 children with her first husband, that was adopted by Merle Ginther and they adored him. He was a wonderful father he loved all of them, they loved him. He preceded her in death December 13, 1998. She was also preceded by her parents, a daughter Deborah McGaffic , June 20,2006 and a brother Howard Elmer Sims Sr.
Survivors include her son Russell Loren Ginther of Fairland, OK, her daughter Joyce Ginther of Miami, OK, 6 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and niece's and nephew's.
Funeral Services will be Saturday June 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK. Rev. Gerald Bailey will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery N.W. of Grove, OK.
Her brother (Howard) adored Goldie and she always made our family laugh. She was a kind woman and cared about her family and our (Sims) family and extended families always helped if she could.
