FUNERAL
On Monday weak the infant daughter of Mr H. Bailey, jun., died. It [she] bad been ailing for sometime past, but just recently it [she] unfortunately got scalded, from which it [she] received rather a severe shock, but on the above day a change for the worse took place, and about 8 o'clock that evening the little sufferer was released. On Wednesday afternoon the funeral took place, about 40 relatives and friends following to the cemetery, where the service was conducted by Mr Recce. A funeral service was held in the Congregational Church on Sunday evening, where was a large congregation.
