Mrs. John (Harriet) Ewald, 63, of 6100 Hwy, 151, Manitowoc, died Friday evening en route to her home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. William A. Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mrs. Ewald, nee Harriet Hansen, was born Sept. 27, 19132, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Oscar and Patrina Olson Hansen. She grew up in Manitowoc and lived there all of her life. She was married to John M. Ewald, May 31, 1931, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 8, 1971. She was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ and was very active in the church's snip 'n' sew group.
Survivors include two sons, Donald of New York and James of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Krumel and Mrs. Frederick (Judy) Beck of Manitowoc; a brother, Earl Hansen of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Bedilia) Schaeffer of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild, nieces and nephews. A brother, Orvin Hansen, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 5 to 9 .m. Sunday and at the church from noon until the time of services Monday. A memorial fund to First Reformed United Church of Christ has been established in her name.
