Marian F. Freiberg, age 87, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday evening, May 27, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on March 4, 1927 in Whitelaw, daughter of the late George and Frances (Klingeisen) Zipperer. Marian married Roy Lamach on November 27, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1966. She later married Edmund O. Freiberg on October 14, 1967 in Manitowoc. He also preceded her in death on March 19, 1989.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Jeanne & Eugene Runnoe, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Craig (Dawn) Runnoe, Green Bay, Kristy (Eric) Holschbach, Reedsville, Katie Runnoe, Milwaukee; four great grandchildren: Adelyn, Reese, Hudson & Harper; one step daughter and step son-in-law: Joan & Jerry Champeau, Manitowoc; two step grandchildren: Dr. Anne Champeaux and her husband Dr. David Schachter, Wesley Chapel, FL, Andy Champeau and special friend Kara, Middleton, WI; one step great grandson: Noah Schachter; and a sister: Alvina Scharenbroch, Charlevoix, MI. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and seven sisters-in-law: Harry (Lucille) Zipperer, William (Mary) Zipperer, Reiny (Leona) Zipperer, Lester (Sylvia) Zipperer, Thomas (Irene) Zipperer, Edward (Evelyn) Zipperer, Bernard (Dolores) Zipperer and three sisters and four brothers-in-law: Laura (Ed) Reznichek, Lillian (Ernest) Yanda and Viola (Nic Katheiser & Walter) Meistnest.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 until 10:45 a.m.

Marian enjoyed traveling, her summers living in Hayward, WI, fishing, watching Packer games, cooking and reading cookbooks. She also loved flowers, baking cookies and making angel food candy at Christmas time, feeding the birds, especially watching the Cardinals, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
