One of the pioneer carpenters of Two Rivers, Joseph Neiner, 82, died early this morning at his home in that city. Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from a son in New Jersey.

Mr. Neiner was born in Austria Sept. 1, 1856 and came to Manitowoc county with his parents at the age of 10. The family settled on a farm on the Rangeline. He married Miss Elizabeth Kimmes and moved to Two Rivers where he engaged in carpentering until about 15 years ago when he took a position at Plant 4 of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing company.

Survivors are the widow; three sons, George of Two Rivers, Albert of Perth Amboy, N.J. and Leander of Milwaukee; one brother, Adolph of Ladysmith, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Vogel, town of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Katherine Semmler, of Milwaukee, and three grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Beduhn funeral home where it may be viewed.
