Edward J. Blahnik, 79, of 2322 W. River Street, Two Rivers, died Sunday, April 9, 1989 at the Kewaunee Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapel, Two Rivers. Rev. John Dewane, a nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Blahnik was born April 22, 1909 at Carlton, Wisconsin, son of the late Wencil and Mary Younger Blahnik. He attended District School, Carlton and Kewaunee High School. From 1936 to 1938 he was employed at Kewaunee Manufacturing Co. He was later employed at Hamilton Industries from 1951 to his retirement in 1974. On June 14, 1932 he married the former Cybil Cisler at Tisch Mills. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1975.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Veronica of Two Creeks; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Swagel of Kewaunee; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapel, Two Rivers. 5 pm to 8 pm Tuesday where a memorial service will be 7 pm.
