Carl Borgwardt, 54, of Rt. 1, Valders, died Tuesday at Milwaukee County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Paul Hensel will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Borgwardt was born Feb. 9, 1915, in the Town of Liberty, son of the late Christ and Mrs. Anna Luebke Borgwardt. He married Eunice Morgan May 22, 1943, at Manitowoc, and the couple farmed in the Town of Liberty. He was a member of the Manitowoc County Holstein Breeders Assn., a Starland dealer, and a former member of the Liberty Belle school board.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Allen and Keith, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Prueter of Rt. 1, Sheboygan, Mrs. Laddie (Lynne) Frank of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, and Joyce and Diane, at home; his mother, who lives on Rt. 1, Valders; four brothers, John, Walter, Harold and Elroy and two sisters, Mrs. Martin Luebke and Mrs. Willard Cummings, all of Rt. 1, Valders, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at the Christianson Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m. Thursday until Friday noon and then at the church until the time of service.
