MILLERSBURG Rebecca E. (Miller) Riehl, 87, of Millersburg, died early Wednesday morning, Feb. 1, 2006, at the home of her daughter in Carrollton, following a brief illness. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Berlin Christian Fellowship with Pastor James Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton or one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, near Trail to Simon and Mattie (Hershberger) Hershberger and married Eli J. Miller on Jan. 5, 1939. He died July 13, 1997. She then married Elmer Riehl on March 21, 1998. He survives.
She had lived most of her life in Holmes County and had worked at Castle Nursing Home in Millersburg for 20 years. She is also survived by children, Lydia (George) Martin of Wheatfield, Ind., Mary (Jack) Sanderlin of Norfolk, Va., Barbara Steely of Orlando, Fla., Elizabeth (Greg) Flannery of North Lawrence, Esther Kandal of Norfolk, Va., Ada (Jim) Tribble of Edwards, Miss., Ella (Ron) Wagoner of Carrollton, with whom she had made her home, Monroe (Ada) Miller of Nappanee, Ind., and Sam (Anna) Miller of Millersburg; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, two brothers and a foster brother died previously.
