Born May 27, 1927 to Clover Leslie Fussell and Louise Frances Reynolds in Miami, Florida.
He joined the U.S. Navy when he was 16 years old to support his mother and younger sister as well as to serve his country. He served for 28 years, including World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
He married and was sealed for time and all eternity to the former Marilyn Rae George. They were blessed with five children, Kathryn (Kim) Hills, Richard (Kerry) Fussell, Cheryl Shubert, Marilee Savey, Peggy (Edwin) Porter; 16 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson, Christian Clover Porter.
