Donald C. Sullivan, age 96, passed away in Springfield, MO, on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Audrey Lee Sullivan (Bowlan). Don was born February 28, 1918, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clyde and Lela Sullivan (McFarland). Don is survived by his children: Nancy Sullivan, Linda Emmett and Don Sullivan Jr. ; five grandchildren: Don Sullivan III, Randee Emmett, Dustin Emmett, Rachel Sullivan and Conrad Baldner; and one great-grandchild, Timmy. Don served his country as a paratrooper with the 101 st Airborne during World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart. He worked as a contractor and business owner for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. His witty and dry sense of humor will be missed. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Hopedale Cemetery, near Ozark, MO. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
